Your Journey, Day by Day
Arrival in Gangtok
Your Darjeeling Gangtok tour begins with your arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, followed by a scenic transfer to Gangtok. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring nearby attractions at your own pace. Return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Gangtok.
Full Day Gangtok Sightseeing
After breakfast, begin your Gangtok sightseeing tour and visit the scenic Tsomgo Lake and revered Baba Mandir. Later, return to Gangtok and spend the evening shopping at MG Road and Lal Bazaar, where you can find traditional Sikkimese items, carpets, tea, wall paintings, and local attire.
Return to your hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
Note: A visit to Nathula Pass (14,000 ft.) on the India-China border can be arranged for Indian Nationals at an additional cost, except on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Visit Scenic & Religious Attractions of Gangtok
After breakfast, set out for another day of sightseeing in Gangtok. Visit Tashi Viewpoint, Ganesh Tok, Banjhakri Falls, Do-Drul Chorten, the Research Institute of Tibetology, and the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handlooms. Later, explore the Chorten and Orchid Sanctuary, home to over 400 species of orchids native to Sikkim, depending on the season. Return to the hotel in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
Gangtok – Darjeeling
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Darjeeling. Enjoy the scenic journey and, if desired, experience a ride on the UNESCO-listed Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, popularly known as the Toy Train.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the surroundings at your own pace. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Full Day Darjeeling Tour
Start your day early with a visit to Tiger Hill, the highest point in Darjeeling, and witness breathtaking Himalayan views as the rising sun illuminates Kanchenjunga.
Return to the hotel for breakfast before exploring Darjeeling’s highlights, including Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. Later, visit the famous tea estates and enjoy the aroma of authentic Darjeeling tea.
Continue to Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, Peace Pagoda, and the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, known for its traditional Tibetan handicrafts. Return to the hotel after sightseeing and relax.
Note: Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute remain closed on Thursdays.
Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and prepare for your onward journey. You will be transferred to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your return journey, marking the end of your memorable Darjeeling Gangtok tour.
