Your Journey, Day by Day
Haridwar/Dehradun – Mussoorie – Barkot
Meet your driver at Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport and begin the scenic journey to Barkot via Mussoorie. Stop at Mussoorie Lake and the popular Kempty Falls along the way. Continue to Barkot, check in to the hotel, and relax for the evening. Overnight stay in Barkot.
Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot
After an early breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti or Phool Chatti and begin the 6-km trek to Yamunotri. Reach the sacred shrine, take a holy dip at Jamunabai Kund, and offer prayers at Yamunaji Temple. After darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot for an overnight stay.
Barkot – Uttarkashi
After breakfast, depart for Uttarkashi through scenic mountain roads. En route, visit Shivgufa before continuing to the town. Upon arrival, seek blessings at Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the nearby Shakti Temple. Check in to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi
Begin the day with breakfast and drive towards Gangotri. Stop at Gangnani for a refreshing holy dip in the natural hot waters of Garam Kund, then continue through the picturesque Harsil Valley. At Gangotri, visit the sacred temple, offer prayers, and enjoy the serene surroundings before returning to Uttarkashi for the night.
Uttarkashi – Guptkashi
After breakfast, check out and embark on a scenic drive to Guptkashi via Moolgarh and Lambgaon. Stop at Tilwara to admire the Mandakini River and continue along its beautiful course towards Guptkashi. Visit the revered Ardh Narishwar Temple before checking in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath
Start early and travel to Sonprayag, where the onward journey to Kedarnath begins after completing the required formalities. Undertake the trek to the sacred Kedarnath Temple, with pony or palki services available at an additional cost. After reaching Kedarnath, offer prayers at the temple and settle into your accommodation for the night.
Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Guptkashi
Rise early and proceed for the morning temple rituals and darshan at Kedarnath. After seeking blessings, begin the descent towards Sonprayag along the trekking route. Meet your driver at Sonprayag and continue by road to Guptkashi. Check in to the hotel, enjoy dinner, and relax overnight.
Guptkashi – Badrinath
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Badrinath, one of the most revered destinations of the Char Dham Yatra. Enjoy the spectacular Himalayan scenery and stop at prominent river confluences such as Nandprayag and Vishnuprayag along the route. On arrival, check in to the hotel and, if time permits, attend the evening aarti at Badrinath Temple. Overnight stay in Badrinath.
Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag
Begin the morning with a holy bath at Tapt Kund followed by darshan at Badrinath Temple. Visit Brahma Kapal and, subject to available time, explore Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Charanpaduka, Bhim Pul, Bhimkund, and Saraswati Mukh. Later, drive towards Rudraprayag via Joshimath, with stops at Narsingh Temple, Yog Dhyan Badri, and Karnprayag as per the itinerary. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.
Rudraprayag – Dharidevi – Rishikesh – Haridwar
After breakfast, begin your final day’s journey towards Rishikesh. Visit the revered Dharidevi Temple and stop at Devprayag to witness the sacred confluence where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet, followed by a visit to Raghunath Temple. Continue to Rishikesh for sightseeing at Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, and Shivananda Ashram. Later, proceed to Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway Station for your onward journey, marking the end of your Char Dham pilgrimage.
