Your Journey, Day by Day
Arrival in Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and meet our representative, who will assist with your transfer to the hotel. After completing the check-in formalities and freshening up, spend the rest of the day at your own pace. You may explore nearby markets, take a walk around the neighbourhood, or sample some of Delhi's popular local cuisine. Return to the hotel later for an overnight stay.
Delhi Sightseeing
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Delhi and explore a selection of the city's historic and cultural landmarks. Visit attractions such as the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, and Birla Mandir. During the city drive, pass prominent landmarks including India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Connaught Place. If available and desired, you may attend an evening sound-and-light presentation at the Red Fort at an additional cost. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Delhi – Srinagar
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to Srinagar. On arrival, meet our representative and continue to your houseboat. Complete the check-in formalities and spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring nearby areas. You may browse local shops and pick up Kashmir-inspired souvenirs before returning to the houseboat for an overnight stay.
Srinagar Sightseeing
After breakfast, begin your Srinagar sightseeing with a visit to the city's celebrated Mughal gardens. Explore Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh, enjoying their landscaped terraces, fountains, and mountain views. Return to your houseboat for some relaxation before heading out later for a Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Enjoy views of the surrounding landscape and, depending on conditions and access, explore the distinctive floating gardens and local floating market areas. Return to the houseboat for an overnight stay.
Srinagar – Pahalgam
After breakfast, check out and travel by road towards Pahalgam, situated at an altitude of around 2,440 metres. The journey includes opportunities to see the saffron-growing areas around Pampore and stop at the historic Avantipur Ruins. You may also visit the Matan area and its ancient temple, subject to the day's schedule. On reaching Pahalgam, check in to your hotel and relax. Later, enjoy the peaceful surroundings with a leisurely walk or optional local activities before your overnight stay.
Pahalgam – Chandanwari – Sheshnag
After an early breakfast, travel from Pahalgam towards Chandanwari, the starting point for the trekking section of the pilgrimage. From Chandanwari, begin the uphill trek towards Sheshnag, passing through the challenging Pishoo Ghati section. Once you reach the Sheshnag campsite, settle into your tent and take time to rest after the day's trek while enjoying the surrounding mountain scenery. Overnight stay in tents.
Sheshnag – Panchtarni
After breakfast, begin the next stage of the pilgrimage route from Sheshnag towards Panchtarni. The trail climbs towards the Mahagunas Pass before gradually descending towards Panchtarni. Enjoy the dramatic Himalayan scenery along the route and take suitable breaks during the trek. On reaching Panchtarni, settle into your designated camp and rest for the night.
Panchtarni – Amarnath Cave – Baltal
Start the day with breakfast before continuing the trek from Panchtarni towards the revered Amarnath Cave. Follow the mountain trail to the sacred shrine and complete your darshan. After the pilgrimage, begin the descending trek towards Baltal. The route can be physically demanding, so the journey should be undertaken according to personal fitness, weather conditions, and local instructions. On reaching Baltal, settle into the designated camp for an overnight stay.
Baltal – Sonamarg – Srinagar
After breakfast, leave Baltal by road and continue towards Sonamarg, located approximately 15 km away. Spend some time enjoying the mountain scenery and exploring the surroundings at your own pace. Optional activities such as pony rides or nature walks may be available locally, subject to weather and operating conditions. Later, continue your journey towards Srinagar and check in to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Srinagar – Departure
After breakfast, complete your hotel check-out and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your scheduled flight to Delhi. On reaching Delhi, continue according to your onward travel arrangements, with a transfer to the airport or railway station as required. This marks the conclusion of your Amarnath Yatra and Kashmir journey.
