Arrival in Srinagar
Welcome to Srinagar, the beautiful gateway to Kashmir. On arrival, you will be transferred to your accommodation on Dal Lake or Nigeen Lake. Settle in and enjoy some time relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. Later, experience a traditional Shikara journey across the lake. Along the way, you can see the distinctive Char Chinar, floating gardens, floating markets, and other aspects of life on the water. The ride offers a wonderful introduction to Srinagar's unique lake culture. Return to the houseboat for dinner and an overnight stay.
Srinagar to Gulmarg — Approx. 50 km / 1.5 Hours
After breakfast, begin your journey to Gulmarg, a beautiful mountain destination surrounded by the Himalayas. On arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax. The remainder of the day is available for exploration and optional activities. Depending on the season, you may enjoy snow-based activities, take the famous Gondola cable car, or arrange a pony ride towards Khilanmarg at your own expense. Spend the evening enjoying Gulmarg's peaceful mountain atmosphere before returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Gulmarg to Pahalgam — Approx. 142 km / 4 Hours
After breakfast, check out and travel towards Pahalgam, a picturesque town situated along the Lidder River. During the journey, you may visit the historic Avantipur Ruins and stop at a local cricket-bat manufacturing centre. If your schedule permits, you can also explore nearby historic temple remains. Reach Pahalgam by afternoon and complete your hotel check-in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the river valley, surrounding meadows, and peaceful mountain scenery. An optional pony ride can also be arranged locally. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Pahalgam to Srinagar — Approx. 90 km / 2 Hours
After breakfast, set out to explore some of the most popular attractions around Pahalgam. Local sightseeing in these areas is generally operated through union taxis, which can be arranged separately at your own cost. Visit the picturesque Betaab Valley, surrounded by lush greenery and mountain scenery. Continue towards Aru Valley, a peaceful destination known for its meadows and spectacular Himalayan views. The sightseeing continues to Chandanwari, an important point associated with the Amarnath pilgrimage route. After completing the day's exploration, return to your hotel in Pahalgam for dinner and an overnight stay.
Srinagar to Sonamarg to Kargil — Approx. 202 km / 5 Hours
After breakfast, leave Srinagar and begin the scenic drive towards Kargil. Make a stop at Sonamarg, surrounded by striking mountain landscapes and alpine scenery. Continue towards the Zojila Pass, an important mountain crossing on the route to Ladakh. The journey then takes you through Drass, a high-altitude settlement known for its extremely cold winters. Continue onward to Kargil and check in at your hotel or camp. The evening is free for relaxation. You may take a stroll through the local market or spend some quiet time near the Suru River. Overnight stay in Kargil.
Kargil to Leh — Approx. 217 km / 5 Hours
After breakfast, depart Kargil for Leh. The route passes through some of the most dramatic landscapes of the Ladakh region. Make a stop at Mulbekh to see its historic rock-carved Maitreya Buddha. Continue towards Lamayuru, famous for its striking terrain and monastery. Later, pause at the meeting point of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, where the contrasting waters create a memorable natural sight. Continue the drive towards Leh and arrive by evening. Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La — Approx. 160 km / 4–5 Hours
After breakfast, leave Leh for the spectacular Nubra Valley, travelling across the famous Khardung La mountain pass. Take a short break at the pass to enjoy the high-altitude surroundings and capture photographs of the dramatic Himalayan landscape. Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok — Approx. 274 km / 7 Hours
Begin the day with breakfast before visiting Diskit Monastery, one of the prominent Buddhist monasteries in Nubra Valley. Take time to appreciate the monastery and the expansive views across the surrounding valley. Continue your journey towards Pangong Lake through the Shyok route. The drive offers remarkable views of rugged mountains and remote Himalayan terrain. On reaching Pangong, check in to your lakeside camp. Spend the evening enjoying the changing colours of the lake and the peaceful surroundings. You can take a leisurely walk near the shoreline while weather and local conditions permit. Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La — Approx. 223 km / 6 Hours
Wake up early to enjoy the changing light over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, begin the return journey towards Leh. The route takes you across Chang La, one of the major high-altitude passes in the region. Continue towards Leh with a visit to the renowned Thiksey Monastery and Hemis Monastery. Arrive in Leh and check in to your hotel. If you have sufficient time, explore the lively Leh market and browse local handicrafts, souvenirs, and regional products. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.
Departure from Leh to Delhi
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before completing your check-out formalities. Depending on your flight schedule, take some final moments to enjoy the surroundings of Leh. Later, proceed to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport for your flight to Delhi or your onward destination, bringing your Kashmir and Ladakh adventure to a close.
