Your Journey, Day by Day
Guwahati - Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong
Begin your Seven Sister States adventure with your arrival at Guwahati Airport, where our tour representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After completing the check-in formalities and relaxing for a while, visit the revered Kamakhya Temple. In the afternoon, enjoy a memorable cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra and witness a spectacular sunset over the river. Later, spend some time shopping at the local markets before returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. The next morning, after breakfast, check out and proceed towards Shillong, visiting the scenic Umiam Lake en route. Upon arrival in Shillong, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. On the following day, embark on an excursion to Cherrapunjee, once known as one of the wettest places on Earth. Explore its breathtaking attractions, including Noh-ka-Likai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Don Bosco Shrine, Wah Kaba Falls, Kynrem Falls, Arwah Cave, and other fascinating natural wonders. On your return to Shillong, visit the beautiful Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak before concluding the day with a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Shillong – Mawlynnong – Shillong - Bhalukpong - Dirang
Begin the day with a delicious breakfast and embark on a sightseeing tour of Mawlynnong, exploring the famous Jingmaham Living Root Bridge, Mawlynnong Village, and its scenic waterfalls. Continue to Dawki, a charming border town in the Jaintia Hills, where you can admire the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River and enjoy a relaxing boating experience. Later, return to Shillong and unwind at the hotel with a delicious dinner and overnight stay. On Day 5, after breakfast, check out and proceed towards Bhalukpong, the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and visit the renowned Tipi Orchidarium, home to over 2,600 cultivated orchids representing around 80 species. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Bhalukpong before returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. On Day 6, after breakfast, check out and drive towards Dirang, a picturesque town situated along the Kameng River and an important gateway to Tawang. Enjoy the scenic landscapes along the way and, upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Later, visit the historic Dirang Dzong and explore a traditional Monpa Village, known for its rich biodiversity, heritage, and unique cultural traditions. Dirang – Tawang - Bomdila
After breakfast, check out from the hotel in Dirang and drive towards Tawang through the breathtaking Himalayan landscapes. En route, visit the spectacular Sela Pass, located at an altitude of around 4,710 meters above sea level, and spend some peaceful moments beside the beautiful Sela Lake. Continue the journey with visits to Jaswant Garh War Memorial and the magnificent Nuranang Falls before proceeding to Tawang. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel, relax, and enjoy a delicious dinner followed by an overnight stay. The next day, embark on a sightseeing tour of Tawang, visiting the magnificent Tawang Monastery, also known as Galden Namgyal Lhatse, Urgelling Monastery—the birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama—and Ani Gompa. Later, pay your respects at the Tawang War Memorial, dedicated to the brave soldiers who lost their lives during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. Spend the evening exploring the local market before returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. On Day 9, after breakfast, check out and proceed towards Bomdila. En route, visit the Nag Temple, Bomdila Monastery, and, if time permits, explore the local Craft Centre. Upon reaching Bomdila, check in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing at the hotel or enjoying a peaceful stroll around the surroundings. End the day with a delicious dinner and comfortable overnight stay.
Bomdila – Kaziranga - Majuli
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast and check out from the hotel in Bomdila before proceeding towards Kaziranga, home to the renowned Kaziranga National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an assisted transfer to the hotel, complete the check-in formalities, and spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing at the resort or exploring the nearby surroundings. After dinner, enjoy a comfortable overnight stay. The following morning, embark on an early elephant safari in the Western Range of Kaziranga National Park from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM, where you can spot the famous one-horned rhinoceros along with tigers, wild buffaloes, elephants, deer, pythons, and numerous migratory birds. Return to the hotel for refreshments and breakfast before visiting a nearby village to experience the local lifestyle and livelihood. Continue to a tea garden and Orchid Sanctuary, followed by lunch and an exciting jeep safari through the national park. Spend the evening at leisure before dinner and an overnight stay. On Day 12, after breakfast, check out and proceed towards Nimati Ghat to board the ferry to Majuli. Upon reaching the island, transfer to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities. Later, relax and explore Majuli’s peaceful natural surroundings with a leisurely walk before enjoying dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Majuli – Kohima
After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Majuli, exploring the renowned Kamalabari Satra and Auniati Satra, which are important centers of Vaishnavite culture. Enjoy birdwatching and interact with local communities to learn about their traditional arts and crafts, including the fascinating art of mask-making for Bhaona, traditional theatrical performances based on Hindu mythology. In the afternoon, attend a peaceful prayer session at a local Namghar and later enjoy cultural performances by local artists before returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. On Day 14, after breakfast, check out and proceed to the ferry point to cross over to Jorhat. Continue your journey towards Kohima and, upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in and relaxation. Later, explore Kohima and visit the historic Kohima War Cemetery, a poignant memorial dedicated to the soldiers who lost their lives during the Second World War. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. On Day 15, after breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Kohima before driving to the historic Khonoma Village, known for its rich heritage and scenic surroundings. In the afternoon, visit the State Museum to gain insights into the traditional lifestyle, customs, and diverse tribal culture of the Naga people. Later, return to Kohima for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Kohima –Touphema Village – Kohima - Imphal
Over the next three days, explore the cultural and natural highlights of Nagaland and Manipur. Begin with an excursion from Kohima to Touphema Village, where you can experience the traditional Naga lifestyle and enjoy a cultural presentation by the local Angami Naga community before returning to Kohima. The following day, drive to Imphal and, after checking into the hotel, visit the renowned Shri Govindajee Temple, one of the city’s important cultural attractions. On Day 18, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Imphal, including Keibul Lamjao National Park, the world’s only floating national park, Loktak Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Northeast India, along with the INA Memorial and Japanese War Memorial. Return to the hotel after sightseeing and relax. Overnight stay in Imphal.
Imphal – Moreh – Imphal - Aizawl
Over the next three days, explore the cultural and historical highlights of Manipur before travelling to Aizawl. Begin with an Imphal sightseeing tour covering Andro Village, Kangla Fort, Ima Market and the World War II Cemetery, offering a glimpse into the region’s heritage, local lifestyle and history. The following day, take an excursion to Moreh, the Indo-Myanmar border town, and cross over to Tamu to experience the local culture, visit a Buddhist pagoda and explore Namphalong Market for shopping and souvenirs before returning to Imphal. On Day 21, after breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to Aizawl. Upon arrival, meet the tour representative and transfer to your hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Aizawl.
Aizawl - Agartala
Over the next three days, explore the cultural and scenic highlights of Aizawl before travelling to Agartala. Enjoy sightseeing at the city’s famous museums, Durtlang Zoological Garden, handloom and handicraft centres, and a nearby Mizo tribal village to experience the traditional lifestyle and enjoy panoramic views. Spend time shopping at Bara Bazar, known for its handicrafts, cane and bamboo products, handloom shawls and garments. Continue your Aizawl exploration with a visit to the State Museum at MacDonald Hill, Aizawl Theological College viewpoint and Berawtlang Tourist Centre, a popular leisure and picnic spot. On Day 24, after breakfast, check out and take a flight from Aizawl to Agartala. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, complete the check-in formalities and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Agartala.
Agartala – Unakoti – Agartala - Neermahal – Agartala - Udaipur – Agartala
Over the next four days, explore the highlights of Tripura, including the ancient Unakoti with its remarkable rock-cut sculptures, the magnificent Neermahal Palace, and the sacred Tripura Sundari Temple at Matabari. Continue to Udaipur (Rangamati) to visit the Tripura Sundari and Bhuvaneshwari Temples, while also exploring key attractions in Agartala such as Ujjayanta Palace, Kunjaban Palace, Jagannath Temple and Sipahijala. On the final day, after breakfast, check out and transfer to Agartala Airport for your onward journey, marking the conclusion of your Seven Sister States tour.
In Aizawl
After breakfast, proceed for a local sightseeing tour in Aizawl. During sightseeing, you cover the famous State Museum, Zoological Garden in Durtlang, Solomon’s Temple, K V Paradise, Science Centre, Typical Mizo Village at Falkawn, and Handloom and Handicraft center. The evening is scheduled for shopping at the Bara Bazar. Overnight stay at Aizawl.
Aizawl to Agartala - By Flight
Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel, and transfer to the airport to connect to the flight for Agartalaay. Upon arrival, pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon visit Ujjayanta Palace, Kunjaban Palace, and Jagannath Temple. The rest of the day is free on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Agartala to Unakoti and Back to Agartala
Post breakfast, proceed to visit Unakoti. It is a historic Shaiva pilgrimage spot and dates back as far back as the 7th – 9th century. While the marvelous rock carvings, and murals, with their primitive beauty, form the chief attraction, natural beauty because of the mountain scenery and waterfalls is an added bonus. After exploring Unakoti, return back to Agartala. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Agartala to Neermahal to Udaipur and Back to Agartala
After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Neermahal, which is one of the finest beauty spots of the state, situated 53 km from Agartala. The palace is so called as it is surrounded on all sides by a big lake called Rudra Sagar. The scenic beauty of the lake attracted Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya (1927-47) so much that he built a spectacular palace at the center of the lake itself, named it Neermahal (or palace in water). After that, proceed to Udaipur. The most famous is the Tripura Sundari temple, which is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple was constructed by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya Debbarma in 1501. There is a big lake beside the temple known as Kalyan Sagar. Bhubaneshwari Temple is another famous temple here. Udaipur is also known as “lake city” and has many beautiful lakes. Some of the major ones are Bijoy Sagar, Jagannath Dighi, Amar Sagar and as mentioned above, Kalyan Sagar. It also has a national library named “Nazrul Granthagar”, after Kazi Nazrul Islam. In the evening, return back to Agartala for overnight stay.
Leave Agartala
Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to Airport to connect the flight for onward destination.
