Your Journey, Day by Day
Arrival in Cochin – Heritage & Cultural Tour
Arrive at Cochin International Airport, where our representative will welcome you and assist with a private transfer to your hotel. Cochin (Kochi), Kerala’s historic port city, serves as the starting point of this journey and is celebrated for its rich colonial heritage and vibrant coastal culture. After check-in and some time to freshen up, proceed for a guided sightseeing tour of the city. Begin with the Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace), famous for its beautiful Kerala-style murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana and the royal life of the erstwhile Kochi kingdom. Continue to St. Francis Church, one of the oldest European churches in India and the historic site where Vasco da Gama was once buried.
Take a leisurely walk through the atmospheric lanes of Jew Town, known for its antique shops and heritage buildings, and visit the historic Jewish Synagogue, one of the oldest functioning synagogues in the Commonwealth. Conclude the sightseeing experience at the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, a centuries-old fishing technique unique to Kochi’s shoreline and particularly beautiful to observe in the late afternoon. The evening is kept free for leisure. You may enjoy a peaceful waterfront stroll around Fort Kochi or simply relax at your hotel after a day of cultural exploration. Overnight stay in Cochin.
Cochin – Munnar
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Munnar, one of South India’s most picturesque hill stations and a key highlight of Kerala’s scenic mountain tours. The journey takes you gradually into the Western Ghats, passing through lush rubber plantations, aromatic spice gardens, cascading waterfalls, and dense stretches of forest. As you gain altitude, the temperature becomes cooler, while the landscape transforms into mist-covered valleys and expansive tea plantations. Upon arrival in Munnar, check into your hotel, beautifully situated amidst rolling hills and tea gardens. The remainder of the day is kept free for relaxation, giving your body time to comfortably adjust to the cooler mountain climate before the wellness-focused experiences later in the journey.
You may enjoy the scenic views from your balcony, take a gentle walk around the property, or simply unwind and soak in the peaceful natural surroundings. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Munnar – Tea Gardens & National Park
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Munnar, a destination renowned for its scenic tea landscapes and delicate mountain ecosystems. Begin with a visit to Mattupetty Dam, surrounded by forest-covered slopes and peaceful waters, followed by nearby viewpoints offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Western Ghats. Continue to Eravikulam National Park (subject to opening schedules), home to vast rolling grasslands and the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The park also offers some of the finest elevated viewpoints in the region. Later, enjoy a guided walk through the tea estates, where you can learn about traditional tea cultivation, processing methods, and the important role of tea plantations in Kerala’s economy.
In the evening, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Kundala Lake. You may spot a herd of elephants drinking water along the lakeside as you sail through the serene surroundings. Cruise past the spice gardens and take in the stunning sunset views from the boat. The day’s gentle pace, fresh mountain air, and lush greenery make it particularly suitable for travellers following a wellness-oriented itinerary. Return to your hotel by late evening. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Munnar – Thekkady (Periyar)
After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady, passing through scenic forests, spice plantations, and the natural landscapes of the Western Ghats. Visit Murikkady for beautiful views of meadows, mountains, and spice-scented surroundings, followed by Cellar Kovil, offering panoramic views of the Tamil Nadu plains.
Later, explore a spice plantation and learn about cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and medicinal herbs used in traditional Ayurveda. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Periyar Lake, with opportunities to admire the forested shores and spot birds or wildlife. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
