Your Journey, Day by Day
Arrival in Guwahati – Shillong
Begin your Guwahati Shillong Cherrapunji tour with your arrival at the airport or railway station, where our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to Shillong. En route, visit the scenic Barapani Lake, also known as Umiam Lake, the largest artificial lake in Meghalaya, surrounded by beautiful forested hills.
On arrival in Shillong, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy dinner and relax for a comfortable overnight stay.
Shillong – Cherrapunji – Shillong
After breakfast, set out from Shillong for a day trip to Cherrapunji, known for its spectacular waterfalls, limestone caves, natural root bridges, and scenic landscapes. Visit the famous Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, and Thangkharang Park. On the way back to Shillong, stop at Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for beautiful panoramic views. Return to your hotel in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Shillong.
Shillong – Mawlynnong – Shillong
After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Mawlynnong, renowned as Asia’s cleanest village. Visit the Jingmaham Living Root Bridge, explore the charming village, and admire its scenic waterfalls.
Continue to Dawki, located about 34 km from Mawlynnong, and discover the beautiful Umngot River. Enjoy a scenic boat ride on its crystal-clear waters and explore the surrounding attractions.
After sightseeing, return to Shillong for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Shillong – Guwahati
Post breakfast, head for the half-day excursion trip to Shillong. First, visit a Japanese-style Lady Hydari Park decorated with roses and flowers in an extensive stretch. Now, you’ll travel from Shillong to Guwahati. On reaching, check-in at the hotel and later, go out for a visit to the Kalakshetra, where they exhibit a light and sound show displaying Assamese culture and history. You can even opt for an evening cruise on the Brahmaputra. Finally, return to the hotel and spend the night.
Guwahati Departure
After breakfast, check out from your Shillong hotel and drive to Guwahati. En route, visit the revered Kamakhya Temple and seek blessings before continuing to the railway station or airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your memorable Guwahati Shillong Cherrapunji tour.
