Arrival at Guwahati
On arrival in Guwahati, meet our tour representative who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and relax. The rest of the day is at leisure, giving you the opportunity to explore Guwahati independently, including the famous Kamakhya Temple and other local attractions. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Guwahati – Shillong
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Shillong. On arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax. Later, explore the city and visit Lewduh, also known as Bara Bazaar, one of the oldest and largest traditional markets in Northeast Asia, perfect for shopping and experiencing local culture.
Shillong
After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Shillong and explore its popular attractions. Visit Ward’s Lake, a beautiful man-made lake offering scenic garden walks and boating. Continue to the Cathedral Catholic Church and Capt. Williamson Sangma State Museum to learn about the region’s culture and local lifestyle.
Later, visit Shillong Peak, the highest point in the state, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. End the day with some shopping at the local emporiums before returning to your hotel.
Shillong – Cherapunjee – Shillong
After breakfast, drive from Shillong to Cherrapunjee, known for its spectacular waterfalls and natural wonders. Explore the famous Mawsmai Cave, featuring fascinating stalactite and stalagmite formations.
Continue to the breathtaking Nohkalikai Falls and visit other remarkable caves, including Lawshynna Cave and Mawmluh Cave. Later, admire the scenic Noh-Sngithiang Falls, Kynrem Falls, and Elephant Falls. After sightseeing, return to Shillong in the evening for an overnight stay.
Shillong – Umaim Lake – Guwahati
After breakfast, drive to Umiam Lake, the largest artificial lake in Meghalaya. Surrounded by lush coniferous forests, this peaceful destination is perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. You can also try activities such as boating, kayaking, fishing, and angling, or simply enjoy a picnic by the lakeside.
